Ruth (Bentley) Crean of Easton passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015, at Nemasket Healthcare Center in Middleboro. She was 85 years old. She was born in Milton; daughter of the late Stanley & Mildred (Howes) Bentley. She was the wife of the late Henry Crean. She is survived by her loving children, Donna M. Johnson and her partner Dan Sweeney of Middleboro, Linda MacKeen and her husband Alexander Sito of Woodinville, Wash., Richard MacKeen and his wife Beth of Wrentham, Russell MacKeen and his wife Anne of Lakeville, Donald R. MacKeen of Berkley, and Kenneth MacKeen and his wife Virginia of Bridgewater. She was the former wife of Donald C. MacKeen of Taunton; and sister of the late Robert Bentley. Ruth is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Ruth was a member of the Stoughton Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed camping and her cats. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and also worked in childcare for many years.
Calling hours will be held Friday, November 13, from 4-7 pm in the Sampson-Hickey-Grenier Funeral Home, 309 Main St., Brockton. A funeral service will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a burial in Milton Cemetery, Milton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
